Kidney Health Big Red Kidney Walk 2019
Kidney Health Australia organised an annual Big Red Kidney Walk across Australia. The Big Red Kidney Walk in Sydney was held at Prince Alfred Park where people joined in the walk and dressed in red in support of kidney health. The walk represents the support there is for everyone that is affected by kidney disease and to raise awareness of kidney disease. Check out Billy the Kidney posing with the participants.
The walk in Sydney had a great turn out and you could see a sea of red as people walked around the park together with family and friends in support of the great cause. To get everyone warmed up for the walk, MC Jeremiah Hartmann introduced Erika Opali from A Squad Called Savage to do some warm up stretches. Once that was done, the whistle was blown to signal the start of the walk. Participants were encouraged to make 3 loops around the park. For those who did not do the walk, they could enjoy the various types of activities for everyone to enjoy including face painting, giant games (Western Sydney Jump) and live music.
